Rachel Bell (Coach: Pete Gifford) produced some fine performaces for Team Bath in her first ever BUCS Indoor Championships.
The Cleethorpes AC athlete, in her first year at Bath University, was selected for 60m, 200m and 4x200m Relay.
Rach produced three solid runs in the 60m finishing 2nd in the heat two with 7.81s, 3rd in the Semi-Finals three, qualifying as a fastest loser with 7.77s, before finishing 8th in final with a run of 7.81s.
Bell also did well in the 200m, making the semi-finals and narrowly missing out on a place in the final after finishing 2nd in SF1 to the eventual BUCS Champion and GB Athlete, Meghan Beesley. Bell ran 25.48s in the semis after winning heat 11 in a time of 25.70s.
Arguably the biggest highlight of the weekend for Bell was a Silver Medal in the 4x200m Relay. A fine run on the first leg from Rachel ended a fine weekend on the track for the Cleethorpes AC athlete who will be looking to build upon these performances in the outdoor season.
